We began life in 1949 in Watergate, Doncaster. Edna Sinclair, grandmother to the current director of Cook 'n' Dine opened a shop after the war when china and crystal was still in short supply.
The business developed as chinaware became more readily available, moving to Georgian House, an imposing Georgian building at the top of Hallgate, in Doncaster, in the late 1950s.
In the 1960s the second generation forged their own paths in the china business. John Sinclair opened his first shop on Glossop Road, in Sheffield, in 1967.
We expanded further afield, opening specialist shops in Stamford, London and the Cook 'n' Dine factory outlet shop at Lakeside Village in Doncaster.
